The SFJ Awards Level 2 Fire Safety Principles qualification is designed for individuals who intend to have responsibility for fire safety in the workplace. It is a generic qualification, applicable to a variety of working environments. Including individuals working within a Fire Mashal role as well as managers, supervisors and team leaders.

This course is delivered via our Interactive Virtual Classroom. Enabling delegates to learn from wherever they are, the iVC is a live environment with interactive activities, breakout rooms for discussion as well as tutor interaction, which is responsive to the needs of each individual. 

Delivery is supported by a range of PowerPoints, whiteboard presentations, interactive group discussions, individual tuition and practical exercises.


Core Topic Areas

Learners will cover the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace, how the risk is controlled, the principles and practice of fire safety management and the content of a fire safety briefing.


Mandatory Units

This qualification comprises of 1 mandatory unit, Fire Safety Principles. Including assessment timeframes, it is estimated that this qualification will take 4 weeks to complete.

Assessment for this qualification includes a question and answer test - submitted via the Xact Learning Environment.
