Qualification and units

Entry requirements
Individuals should:
- have ability to work at Level 2 or above
- be proficient in use of English Language
- be able to carry out simple mathematical calculations
Prior learning
Individuals are required to have the ability to recognise typical fire safety measures in buildings e.g. smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, exit signs.
They also need to have an understanding of the fire auditor role. Plus, individuals should also have experience of observing an auditor assessing a building’s fire safety measures.
