The qualification is ideal for those who intend to carry out fire door inspections a 'competent persons'. It is suitable for both in-house fire door inspectors and independent consultants.

Learners must be aged 18 or over to study this qualification.

Course Overview

The ABBE Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection requires learners to complete four mandatory units:

1. Understand what is meant by a 'fire door'
2. Understand regulations and standard for fire doors
3. Prepare to undertake a fire door inspection
4. Carry out a fire door inspection
