Fire Safety Assessor
An exciting opportunity to join the Xact Assessment Team. We are seeking a full / part time assessor to support the centre team in the development and delivery of our assessment team.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Practical experience working in the fire safety sector (minimum 3-5 years)
- Competence and experience relevant to assessing areas e.g. DCLG FRA guides, ADB, BS 9999 etc.
- A fire safety qualification or working towards e.g. Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent fire safety/ fire risk assessment qualification
- An assessing qualification or working towards - CAVA*
- For Level 5 marking a minimum of L5 Diploma in Fire Engineering Design, ideally a Fire Engineering Degree
Preferable
- Membership of relevant professional body e.g. IFE, IFSM etc.

- Evidence of awareness of learning styles, reasonable adjustments and additional needs support
- Have an understanding of Safeguarding responsibilities and creating a safe working environment
- Competent use of Microsoft Office products
- Clean DBS Check (up to enhanced may be required for the role)
Additional Information
Working Hours: Full Time Employee / Part-Time Options will be considered
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 (pro-rata, dependent upon qualifications and experience)
Location: Remote Working - Home address.
Start Date: ASAP
