Target audience

Managers and specialists who participate in and conduct discipline and grievance investigations.

Aim

To provide delegates with the skills and techniques to conduct discipline and grievance investigations.

  • Report on findings with conclusions and recommendations
  • Prepare for and present evidence at formal proceedings

This will be achieved using customers' policies and procedures.

Learning process

Working in small syndicates delegates will:

  • Analyse a scenario and formulate an investigation plan
  • Discuss their investigation plan with a senior manager
  • Interview role players
  • Prepare a report on their findings, recommendations and conclusion
  • Discuss and review their investigation with a solicitor
  • Present their investigation in formal proceedings

Delivery

The sessions will be delivered using PowerPoint presentations, flipchart explanation, group discussion, individual tuition and practical exercises to reinforce outcomes.
