Anti Social Behaviour Orders

Crime and Disorder Act 1998

This course is designed to support ASBO officers in the practicalities of investigating anti-social behaviour.

Used to control noise, damage, disorder, graffiti and litter, ASBOs require gathering and presenting evidence to support a complaint, often without identifying vulnerable complainants. We demonstrate how to adhere to procedures in:

  • witness interviews
  • surveillance
  • use of CCTVs, cameras and listening devices
  • exhibit-handling
  • offender interviews

If the problem persists evidence needs to be presented as a case file. How to ensure this can support a criminal prosecution is an important aspect of our courses
