Aim

Provide delegates with the core skills deployed within an intelligence management environment

Course content

Delegates should be able to:

  • Explain the terms ‘information’, ‘intelligence’ and ‘evidence’
  • Recognise key components of the Intelligence Cycle
  • Understand the impact of relevant legislation within an intelligence environment
  • Explain the principles of the National Intelligence Model and describe four key intelligence products
  • Demonstrate 5 x 5 x 5 evaluation process
  • Describe processes utilised in relation to information security
  • Identify sensitive intelligence and how it is managed
  • Demonstrate sanitisation and parallel processing in relation to sensitive intelligence
  • Identify the various intelligence research sources available
  • Produce assessed intelligence products
  • Explain risk assessment and prioritisation
  • Demonstrate effective briefing techniques
  • Outline CPIA & PII in relation to the intelligence environment
  • Explain intelligence officer evidence in court
