An innovative series of training programmes are set to give BAFSA members greater opportunities to enhance their skills and expertise.
Training and consultancy company Xact has developed the following three courses specifically aimed at meeting their professional requirements.
All the courses have the advantage of being independently assessed by the CPD Certification Service. This means that those who complete the BS 9251 programmes will be awarded 16 Continuing Professional Development hours for each. For delegates on the Canute FHC course, it adds up to seven hours.
In addition, the BS courses have been designed in line with criteria set out by the new Loss Prevention Standard 1301.
Fire engineer and Xact tutor John Streets, along with the firm's director Trevor Norwood, has played a central role in the development of the courses.
Mr Streets says: "We aim to offer training that imparts not only new skills but also an enhanced sense of confidence about applying them. We believe this unique CPD package does exactly that and we are greatly looking forward to delivering the courses."
The Canute FHC course marks a new collaboration between Xact and the sprinkler software pioneer to develop training that keeps up to date with cutting edge developments in the industry.
Canute software specialist and systems design engineer John Moore says: "It is extremely important to us that our customers are able to access high-quality training that helps them get the best out of our software.
"We are delighted to be working with Xact to show delegates how they can maximise our product's potential."
The three new courses are set to be rolled out at locations across the UK, making it convenient for BAFSA members to attend.
Xact director Mr Norwood says: "The needs of members have been a central consideration in the design of these courses. They can be assured that the standards they reach will give them a solid foundation on which to design and install sprinkler systems."
