Target audience

Fire Safety Professionals, "The Responsible Person" (Employers, Building Owners and Managers) and Fire Safety Officers and inspectors

Aim

To provide delegates with the skills and techniques to manage and audit the fire safety precautions of premises.

Outcomes

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Appreciate the principles of fire safety legislation
  • Identify offences, defences and penalties of the order
  • Discuss available guidance for the order
  • Understand the responsibilities of "Competent" and "Responsible" persons
  • Identify the principles of fire risk assessments
  • Prepare and maintain fire safety policies and procedures
  • Recognise the role of fire wardens

Delivery

The sessions will be delivered using PowerPoint presentations, flipchart explanation, group discussion, individual tuition and exercises to reinforce outcomes
